KAMS: KANSAS ACADEMY OF MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE KAMS is a challenging opportunity for exceptional students who are ready for the college experience. A residential program at Fort Hays State, KAMS allows students to study and conduct research with PH.D. faculty and peers to continue their intellectual growth. KAMS is an Early College Program that the Kansas state legislature enacted in 2006 to promote STEM education for exceptional Kansas students. Qualified juniors and seniors in high school attend Fort Hays State University tuition free for up to 68 college credits. Books, laptop, and fees are included. Room & board is not included. Purpose of the Internship Program: is to allow students to explore a career field they have interest in and get hands-on experience. Business partner supervisor may not be a parent or guardian of the student. The student is responsible for finding an internship site however Ms. Brack or Mrs. Coleman would be happy to assist the student if they need help. Current Seniors if you are interested please email Mrs. Coleman and Ms. Brack then we will email you back with the Internship Application.

We have a EAGLES Kind-Nest (hygiene & school supplies) shelf available for all students at Ellinwood Middle/High School. We have received a variety of donations from the community to support this project for out students. It is located in the South hallway near the counselor's office.
